フィンランド国鉄

フィンランドの長距離列車は、国が運営するVRによって運行されています。車両の世代交代は順調なようです。ヘルシンキ周辺では近郊輸送も担当していて、複々線に一時間に10本程度の運転本数を持ちます。VRの車両は、車両番号のほかに Sm(電車), Dm(気動車) から始まる通称を持っています。ここでは各車両を通称で呼びます。

Trains of VR are clean and comfortable. Most of the tolling stocks are designed specially for Finland. The newest locomotive Sr2 or Pendolino have its origin in Switzerland or Italy, but they have special features such as additional heaters or bogies for 1524mm-width-tracks.
