Sm2はSm1の改良形で、アルミ車体と空気ばね台車により、Sm1より少し洗練された外観になっています。2005年には多くの編成が登場時の黄色と赤の塗装でした。長らくヘルシンキ近郊で使われてきましたが、最近はタンペレやラハティ近郊でも運行しています。
Sm2 is the improved series of Sm1. It has an aluminum body and air suspension bogies, looking a little smarter than Sm1. In 2005, most units had original yellow and red style. For a long time, these EMUs have been in service near Helsinki, but recently they are also in service near Tampere and Lahti.
