Sm1はフィンランドで国内設計・製造された最も古い電車形式です。軽量ではありませんが、低温や雪に非常に強い車両です。登場時の塗装は黄色と赤でしたが、すべてのSm1が更新され、赤と白に塗り替えられました。車両番号は6001〜6050です。
Sm1 is the oldest domestically designed and manufactured EMU type in Finland. Although it is not lightweight, the series is highly resistant to low temperatures and snow. Originally painted yellow and red, all Sm1 cars have since been refurbished and repainted red and white. numbered 6001–6050
