Sm1 is the oldest domestically designed and manufactured EMU type in Finland. Although it is not lightweight, the series is highly resistant to low temperatures and snow. Originally painted yellow and red, all Sm1 cars have since been refurbished and repainted red and white. numbered 6001–6050
