VR's car-carrier services combine overnight passenger travel with vehicle transport between southern and northern Finland. Passengers use sleeper cabins or seats while their cars or motorcycles travel in dedicated carrier wagons, avoiding the long drive north without giving up their own transport at the destination. Vehicles are loaded at designated terminals, normally by their owners, although VR also offers a loading service for customers who prefer assistance.
