IC形は1988年から導入された改良型客車です。VRで初めて冷房を備えた客車で、大きな窓と自動ドアを持ちます。白と赤の配色も従来の急行用客車の印象を変えました。主にIC2と組み合わせてIC列車に使われています。
Type IC is improved type introduced from 1988. It is the first air-conditioned coaches in VR, with large window and automatic doors. Its color, white and red, also changed the mood of express coaches. It is mainly used in IC services combined with IC2.
