London Underground's A60 and A62 trains were built by Cravens in the early 1960s for the Metropolitan Line's suburban services. Four-car units normally ran in pairs as eight-car trains, with single units also used on the Chesham shuttle and former East London Line. Transverse 3+2 seating and luggage racks suited longer journeys, while braking relied on wheel-tread friction rather than electrical braking; passenger operation ended in 2012.
