京阪京津線は京都市山科と滋賀県大津を結ぶ路線で、併用軌道（路面）・急勾配・地下鉄直通と多様な走行環境を持つユニークな路線です。800系は路面電車サイズながら4両編成で京都市営地下鉄東西線に乗り入れます。石山坂本線は琵琶湖西岸を走るローカル路面電車です。
Keihan Keishin Line connects Yamashina (Kyoto) and Otsu (Shiga), uniquely running on street track, steep grades, and through-service into Kyoto Municipal Subway. Series 800 trains are tram-sized 4-car sets entering subway tunnels. Ishiyama-Sakamoto Line is a lakeside local tram along Lake Biwa.
