常磐緩行線の列車は、綾瀬を経由して地下鉄千代田線へ直通します。上野・品川方面の快速とは別の線路を使い、沿線の各駅と都心の地下鉄駅を乗り換えなしで結ぶ通勤経路になっています。
Joban local trains run through onto the Chiyoda subway Line via Ayase. Using tracks separate from the rapid services towards Ueno and Shinagawa, they provide a commuter link between local stations and central Tokyo subway stations without changing trains.
