The Yokohama Line runs from Higashi-Kanagawa to Hachioji on the Chuo Line. Since 1989, Series 205 has been the only type in service. JR East made minor modifications, such as enlarged door windows. In 1994, a six-door car was added, sharing the same bogie and door window design as Series 209-0.
