ストックホルム地下鉄の主力はステンレスの連接車・C20系ですが、Cx系と呼ばれる在来車もまだ走っています。これらは車内設備こそ最新鋭車に比べると見劣りするものの、世界に先駆けてATO自動運転を実現した、記念すべき車両です。一部は郊外電車であるSaltsjöbananに転用され、中央扉を閉鎖しての2扉化とパンタグラフの搭載、車体幅の拡大が行われています。
Although the mainstay of Stockholm's metro is the stainless-steel articulated C20, older trains collectively called Cx are still running. Their interiors fall short of the newest trains, but they are noteworthy vehicles that achieved automatic train operation ahead of the rest of the world. Some have been transferred to the suburban Saltsjöbanan, with the centre doors closed to leave two doorways, pantographs fitted and bodies widened.
