上野駅は新幹線で唯一の地下駅です。2面4線だけの駅ですが、新幹線の車両が大きいため、ゆったりした雰囲気があります。1982年の開業後、1991年に路線が東京へ延びました。現在は「はやて」などの速達列車の一部が通過します。
Ueno station is the only underground station in Shinkansen. Although the station only has 4 lines with 2 platforms, it has spacious atmosphere because of larger stock size of Shinkansen. After opened in 1982, the line has extended to Tokyo in 1991. Now some fast trains, like Hayate, passes the station.
