5000系は1983年、東山線初の冷房付き車両として導入されました。アルミ製車体に片側3扉を備え、6両で1編成を組みます。黄色い車体の帯が東山線を表しています。車体と電気機器の老朽化により、既に引退しました。
Series 5000 was introduced on the Higashiyama Line in 1983 as the first air-conditioned type on the line. It has an aluminum body with three doors per side, and six cars form one trainset. The yellow body stripe denotes the Higashiyama Line. The series has since been withdrawn due to aging bodies and electrical equipment.
