3050系は、鶴舞線と犬山線への直通運転開始に伴い、1993年に製造されました。桜通線用の6000系と共通点が多いですが、前面は少し変化しました。従来鶴舞線は4連での運転でしたが、3050系の登場により6連化されました。犬山線内では急行運転も行われます。特徴だった最前部のパンタグラフは、2005年ごろ撤去されました。
Series 3050 was built in 1993 when through services between the Tsurumai and Inuyama lines began. It has much in common with Series 6000 for the Sakuradori Line, but its front design is slightly different. Tsurumai Line trains previously had four cars; the introduction of Series 3050 brought six-car formations. The trains also operate on express services on the Inuyama Line. The distinctive pantograph at the very front was removed around 2005.
