名古屋市営地下鉄3000系は、1977年の鶴舞線開業に合わせて製造されました。青い帯を持つ20 mの車体はステンレス製です。車体幅は2,740 mmで、一般的なJR車両より60 mm狭くなっています。チョッパ制御を採用し、その後の10年間で引退する計画でした。
Nagoya Metro Series 3000 was built in 1977 for the opening of the Tsurumai Line. Its 20 m body with a blue belt is made of stainless steel. The body width is 2,740 mm, which is 60 mm narrower than that of typical JR rolling stock. The trains use chopper control and were planned to be withdrawn over the following decade.
