813系は福岡地区向けに設計された車両です。前面の形状は811系より簡素ですが、鮮やかな赤い装いによって、デザインはより目を引くものになっています。15年間で200両以上が製造され、現在は福岡地区の鹿児島本線で主力となっています。
Class 813 is designed for Fukuoka area. The front shape is simpler than series 811, but the design is more appearing because of its vivid red outfit. More than 200 cars is manufactured in 15 years, and now they are the main force in Kagoshima Line in Fukuoka area.
