東急（東京急行の「急行」はexpressの意味です）は日本で最も長い私鉄ではありませんが、財務面では日本で最も重要な会社の一つです。東横線は、日本の二つの最大都市、東京（渋谷）と横浜を結びます。居住地として最も人気のある地域を通るため、いつも混雑しています。2003年からみなとみらい線（MM21）へ直通します。5050系と9000系が使用されています。
