Tobu Series 8000 is famous for its production volume: 712 cars were built from 1963 to 1983. They have a straight steel body, no electric brake, and Minden bogies. The series has been used on almost every Tobu Line. The series was gradually withdrawn from main lines, with some cars remaining in service until at least 2020.
