東武9000系は、東京メトロ有楽町線への直通運転用として1981年に製造されました。東武初のステンレス車で、チョッパ制御を採用しています。各編成は10両で、当時の東武で最長の編成でした。2007年から、副都心線への直通運転に向けて更新が行われました。
Tobu Series 9000 was built in 1981 for through services to the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. It was Tobu's first stainless-steel train type, with chopper control. Each trainset consists of 10 cars, making it the longest formation operated by Tobu at the time. From 2007, trains were refurbished for through services to the Fukutoshin Line.
