東武50000系は2005年から日立が製造しています。アルミのダブルスキン車体や、片側に寄せた貫通扉など、西武20000系と多くの特徴を共有しています。この系列には、TJライナー用の50090系、東上線・有楽町線用の50070系、伊勢崎線・半蔵門線用の50050系など、複数の仕様があります。
Tobu Series 50000 has been built by Hitachi since 2005. It shares many features with Seibu's Series 20000, including its aluminum double-skin body and offset gangway door. The family includes several variants: Series 50090 for TJ Liner services, Series 50070 for the Tojo and Yurakucho lines, and Series 50050 for the Isesaki and Hanzomon lines.
