20000系は2000年から営業運転を行っています。日立のA-train設計を採用し、アルミのダブルスキン車体を持ちます。前面貫通扉がないため、有楽町線や副都心線への直通運転には使用されません。各編成は10両で、主に新宿線・池袋線の優等列車で使用されています。
EMU Series 20000 has been in service since 2000. The series adopts Hitachi's A-Train design, with a double-skin aluminum body. It is not used on through services to the Yurakucho or Fukutoshin lines, since it does not have a front gangway door. Each trainset has 10 cars and is mainly used on express services on the Shinjuku and Ikebukuro lines.
