Seibu Series 3000, introduced in 1983, has a design similar to Series 101, but its performance is different. The trains use chopper control and electric command brakes. A total of 72 cars were built, formed into six-car and eight-car trainsets. They were mainly used on the Ikebukuro Line and were later withdrawn.
