千葉都市モノレールは、車両が軌道桁の下にぶら下がるSAFEGE式の懸垂型モノレールです。1988年に最初の区間が開業し、千葉みなと・千葉駅から県庁前や千城台方面を結ぶ2路線へ発展しました。路線延長は全体で15.2 kmです。
Chiba Urban Monorail uses the SAFEGE suspended system, with trains hanging beneath the guideway. Its first section opened in 1988, and the network grew into two lines linking Chibaminato and Chiba Station with Kencho-mae and Chishirodai. Its total route length is 15.2 km.
