2003年に半蔵門線が押上へ延伸した際、08系が営団最後の新形式として製造されました。後期の05N系と同様、日本車輌が製造しました。合計60両が製造され、田園都市線の中央林間から東武伊勢崎線まで走ります。
When the Hanzomon Line was extended to Oshiage in 2003, Series 08 was built as the final new train type introduced by Eidan. The trains were built by Nippon Sharyo, like the later Series 05N. A total of 60 cars were built, running from Chuo-rinkan on the Den-en-toshi Line to the Tobu Isesaki Line.
