MUE-Trainは2008年に京浜東北線・根岸線用の209系0番台を改造した、JR東日本の研究開発用試験車です。白い帯とブロック模様が特徴で、車両制御システムや線路・架線の状態監視装置などの走行試験に使われます。
JR East created MUE-Train in 2008 by converting Series 209-0 cars formerly used on the Keihin-Tohoku and Negishi Lines. Its white bands and block patterns identify a research train used to test vehicle-control systems and equipment for monitoring track and overhead wires.
