SL's X60 is a six-car Alstom Coradia Nordic train introduced for Stockholm commuter services in 2005. Articulated construction with shared bogies provides a walk-through interior, while platform-level entrances and numerous doors help passengers board quickly. Much of the technical equipment is mounted on the roof to reduce exposure to snow and ice; later X60A and X60B batches progressively replaced older trains and established the family as the commuter fleet's mainstay.
