ラトビア鉄道歴史博物館は、リガの旧機関車修理施設を利用して、同国の鉄道の発展を伝えています。屋外にはラトビアで使われた機関車や各種の鉄道車両を展示し、屋内には制服、切符、時刻表など、列車の運転と旅客サービスを支えた資料が集められています。1994年にリガなどの支部が設けられ、国鉄Latvijas dzelzceļšの組織としてイェルガヴァにも展示拠点を持ち、広軌の車両と鉄道員の仕事の両面から鉄道史を紹介しています。
The Latvian Railway History Museum uses former locomotive-repair premises in Riga to explore the country's railway development. Outdoor displays include historic locomotives and other railway vehicles, while indoor collections preserve uniforms, tickets and timetables associated with operation and passenger travel. Branches were established in 1994; part of Latvijas dzelzceļš, with exhibitions in Riga and Jelgava, the museum presents both broad-gauge railway equipment and the working lives behind it.
