天神大牟田線の特急の大半は、1989年から8000系で運転されています。大きく曲面を描く前面窓と、ゆったりした大型の座席を備えています。編成は西鉄で最長の6両です。新しい急行用3000系が導入されていますが、8000系は今も看板車両の地位を保っています。
Most limited express in Tenjin-omuta Line are served by series 8000 from 1989. It has winded large windshield and comfortable large seats. A trainset consists of 6 cars, which is the longest in Nishitetsu. Newer express 3000 are put into service, but series 8000 still occupies the flagship position.
