北大阪急行8000形は1986年に登場し、「ポールスター」の愛称を持つ電車です。アイボリーに塗装したアルミ車体に赤とマルーンの帯を配し、木目調内装と緑の座席など阪急に通じる意匠を採用しました。北大阪急行南北線から地下鉄御堂筋線へ直通し、当初8両だった編成は増結を経て10両となりました。
Kita-Osaka Kyuko Series 8000 was introduced in 1986 under the Polestar name. Its ivory-painted aluminium bodies carried red and maroon bands, with wood-grain interiors and green seating recalling Hankyu's styling. It ran from the Namboku Line onto the Midosuji Subway Line, growing from its original eight-car formations to ten cars through later additions.
