EMU Series 1000 is the first rolling stocks in Kobe Subway, built in 1977. The front design is bilaterally symmetric. Their alminum 19m body, silver windowframe and wooden-pattern interior are similar to Hankyu stocks. All the trainsets consist of 6 cars. The motors were controlled by chopper at first, but now being replaced by inverter-controlled. 4
