近鉄9020系は2000年に登場した「シリーズ21」の2両編成で、ロングシートの通勤車です。同系統の9820系は2001年から製造された6両編成で、両者ともアルミ車体とVVVFインバータ制御を採用しています。奈良・京都線系統を中心に使われ、編成の組合せによって需要に対応しました。
Kintetsu Series 9020 was introduced in 2000 as a two-car, longitudinal-seating member of the Series 21 family. Related Series 9820 six-car formations were built from 2001, with both designs using aluminium bodies and VVVF inverter control. Principally assigned to the Nara and Kyoto systems, they could be combined into formations suited to demand.
