尼崎の事故前の、青い旧塗色を持つ207系です。最初に207系0番台と100番台が学研都市線（片町線）・福知山線で営業運転に入りました。その後、東海道・山陽線用に1000番台が製造されました。東西線の開業前は全編成が7両編成でした。
Series 207 in old blue outfit, before Amagazaki Accident. Fiest, series 207-0 and 207-100 were put into serive in Gakkentoshi (Katamachi) and Fukuchiyama Line. Later on, 207-1000 were built for Tokaido-Sanyo Line. Before the openeing of Tozai Line, all the trainsets consisted of 7-cars.
