国鉄103系は1963年から製造された、抵抗制御の4扉通勤電車です。大阪環状線ではオレンジ色の8両編成が代表的で、低運転台・高運転台や更新車が混在しました。大阪と天王寺を結ぶ環状運転などに使われた姿を記録しています。
JNR Series 103 was built from 1963 as a resistance-controlled, four-door commuter train. Orange eight-car formations became characteristic of the Osaka Loop Line, with low-cab, high-cab and refurbished cars appearing together. These photographs record their use on loop services linking Osaka and Tennoji.
