2008年現在も方向板を用いている、5314Fの写真です。2両のみの在籍で、ペアを組む5131形(5143) は方向幕を装備しながらも、方向板を用いています。7801形と同時期に増備されたため、直線的な裾のデザインも特徴的です。阪神なんば線の開通後も、しばらく用いられるようです。
Type 5311 is the oldest 'Jet Car' in 2008. Jet Car in Hanshin railway has the largest accelaration power in Japan. These photographs show trainset 5314, which still uses destination boards in 2008. Only two Type 5311 cars remain, and the Type 5131 car paired with them, 5143, also uses destination boards despite having destination blinds. The straight design of the lower body edge is another distinctive feature, as these cars were added around the same time as Type 7801. They appear likely to remain in use for a while after the Hanshin Namba Line opens.
