阪急8300系は1989年に営業運転を始めた8000系の京都線向け系列です。アルミ車体とVVVFインバータ制御を採用し、初期車の額縁状の前面から後期車では形状が変わりました。京都線・千里線と堺筋線直通に使われました。
Hankyu Series 8300 entered service in 1989 as the Kyoto Line counterpart of Series 8000. It used aluminium bodies and VVVF inverter control, with the framed front of the early cars giving way to a revised design in later batches. It operated on the Kyoto and Senri Lines and through to the Sakaisuji Line.
