阪急5300系は1972年に登場した京都線用の新製冷房車です。3300系に準じた車体寸法で堺筋線直通に対応し、電動車に2基のパンタグラフを載せました。写真は前面に方向板を掲げ、京都線・千里線の列車に使われていた時代の姿です。
Hankyu Series 5300 was introduced in 1972 as an air-conditioned design for the Kyoto Line. It adopted dimensions based on Series 3300 for Sakaisuji Line through running and carried two pantographs on its motor cars. These photographs show the destination-board era on Kyoto and Senri Line services.
