1972年登場の阪急5300系は、京都線・千里線から堺筋線へ直通する冷房付き通勤車として製造されました。1986年から方向幕の設置が進み、1994年以降の工事では前面表示が大型化されました。写真は方向板時代とは異なる前面となった車両を扱います。
Hankyu Series 5300 was introduced in 1972 as an air-conditioned commuter design for the Kyoto and Senri Lines and through services onto the Sakaisuji Line. Destination blinds were fitted from 1986, with larger front displays adopted in work undertaken from 1994. The photographs show this later appearance rather than the destination-board version.
