2300系は 1960 年に登場しました。車体・内装は、現在に続く阪急スタイルを確立しました。足回りは、トランジスタを用いて複巻電動機の界磁制御を行い、定速制御を実現していました。90年代にも表示板車が多く残り、2301Fほかが嵐山線で活躍したほか、2305F, 2308F, 2311Fが普通、快速として活躍していました。
Hankyu Series 2300 was introduced in 1960. Its body and interior established the Hankyu style that continues today. Its running equipment used transistors to control the fields of compound-wound motors, enabling constant-speed control. Many cars still used destination boards in the 1990s: trainset 2301 and others worked on the Arashiyama Line, while trainsets 2305, 2308 and 2311 operated local and rapid services.
