新京成8900形は1993年に最初の編成が営業運転を開始し、1996年までに3編成がそろいました。当初は8両編成でしたが、2014年には全編成が6両に短縮され、ピンク系の新しい塗装へ変更されました。
The first Shin-Keisei Series 8900 set entered service in 1993, with three sets in service by 1996. Originally eight-car trains, all were shortened to six cars and repainted into the new pink colour scheme in 2014.
