4000系は2007年から、東京メトロ千代田線への直通運転に使用されています。車体構造・内装・電気機器はJR東日本のE233系に似ていますが、前面デザインは小田急独自のものです。青帯は従来の小田急の電車より少し明るくなっています。各編成は10両で、急行にも使用されます。
Series 4000 has been used on through services to the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line since 2007. Its body structure, interior, and electrical equipment are similar to those of JR East's Series E233, but the front design is original to Odakyu. The blue stripe is slightly lighter than that of previous Odakyu trains. Each trainset consists of 10 cars and is also used on express services.
