Series 05 was built for the Tozai Line. It replaced Series 5000 and Series 8000 (originally for the Hanzomon Line but temporarily used on Tozai). Some cars have 1.8 m wide doors. The earlier group with DC motors was being replaced by Series 15000 from 2010.
