While series 800 and 2000 are specialized for local and rapid services accordingly, Keikyu Series 1500 is designed for general use. Now it is used in every Keikyu line, including Daishi line and rapid service (Kaitoku) in the main line. It can also be used for through service to Toei Asakusa Line.京急1500形(1500系)は、1000形に代わる京急の汎用車として1985年に登場しました。当社は戸袋窓を持つスタイルで、制御装置は界磁チョッパでした。その後、増備車はアルミ車体・戸袋無しとなり、さらに1700番台では制御装置がVVVFインバータに進化しました。2001年から更新工事が始まり、戸袋を持つ車両は無くなりました。現在では、本線の快特・普通・大師線の普通までこなしています。
