武蔵野線は東京の都市圏を周回する路線です。1991年に導入された武蔵野線用205系は、京葉線用と同じデザインです。長い勾配があるため、8両中6両が電動車です。山手線から転用された車両は、8両中4両がインバータ制御の電動車です。
The Musashino Line runs around the Tokyo metropolitan area. EMU 205 for the Musashino Line, introduced in 1991, has the same design as that for the Keiyo Line. Because of long gradients, 6 out of 8 cars have motors. Cars converted from the Yamanote Line have 4 out of 8 cars with inverter-controlled motors.
