The Musashino Line runs around the Tokyo metropolitan area. EMU 205 for the Musashino Line, introduced in 1991, has the same design as that for the Keiyo Line. Because of long gradients, 6 out of 8 cars have motors. Cars converted from the Yamanote Line have 4 out of 8 cars with inverter-controlled motors.
