X50シリーズはスウェーデンの近郊形電車です。最高速度200km/hを誇り、車内は2+3のリクライニングシートが並びます。扉は一カ所低床になっていて、車いすでの乗降に対応しています。使用線区・増備時期によってX50, X51, X52, X53のバリエーションがあります。増備の時期がスウェーデン国鉄の分割民営化と重なっていたため、様々なバージョンが生まれています。これらは塗装によって区別されていますが、車内に大きな違いは無いようです。
The X50 family consists of Swedish suburban electric trains. They have a maximum speed of 200 km/h and an interior with reclining seats arranged 2+3. One doorway is in a low-floor section to accommodate wheelchair access. X50, X51, X52 and X53 variants reflect different routes and procurement periods. Because procurement coincided with the division and privatisation of Swedish State Railways, many versions appeared. They can be distinguished by livery, but their interiors do not seem to differ greatly.
