X2000はX2系の愛称です。スウェーデン国鉄(SJ)の高速列車で、振り子式で200km/hで走ります。1991年から1997年にかけて製造され、ストックホルム〜ヨーテボリ、ストックホルム〜マルメなど多くの路線で使用されています。従来の機関車牽引の列車に比べ運用効率が高く、消費電力も圧倒的に少なくなりました。ノルウェーに直通するLinxの運用からは撤退したものの、その分スウェーデン国内の輸送網は充実しました。近年、無線LAN装備を主体とするリニューアルが行われ、完了した車両はグレーに塗装されています。
X2000 is the name given to Series X2. This Swedish State Railways (SJ) high-speed train tilts and runs at 200 km/h. Manufactured between 1991 and 1997, it is used on many routes, including Stockholm–Gothenburg and Stockholm–Malmö. Compared with conventional locomotive-hauled trains, it provides greater operating efficiency and consumes far less electricity. Although withdrawn from Linx services through to Norway, it has strengthened the domestic Swedish network instead. Recent refurbishment focuses on wireless LAN equipment, and completed trains are painted grey.
