Oslo's T2000 comprised six two-car trainsets built by Strømmen and AEG in 1994 and introduced in 1995. Equipped for both third-rail and overhead collection, they worked through the central metro tunnel onto the then overhead-powered Holmenkollen Line, replacing older wooden-bodied cars. The new design was not developed into a larger fleet because of technical problems and the maintenance burden of a small series, and passenger operation ended in 2009.
