Oslo's T1300 developed from the T1000 design to connect western suburban routes with the metro. New cars appeared around the turn of the 1980s, followed by conversions of existing vehicles, with pantographs supplementing third-rail collectors. Initially used on the Røa, Sognsvann and Kolsås Lines and later on the Holmenkollen Line, the class was withdrawn in 2010 as western routes were upgraded and MX3000 trains took over.
