NSのMaterieel '64は、1961年の試作車に続いて1960～1970年代に製造された普通列車用の電車で、丸く突き出した前面が特徴です。4両編成のPlan Tと2両編成のPlan Vがあり、自動連結器で編成をつないで輸送量に対応しました。旅客が押しボタンで開閉する扉と集中施錠を取り入れ、後には黄色い車体が広く見られるようになりましたが、NSでの定期運転は2016年に終了しました。
NS Materieel '64 developed from a 1961 prototype into a large fleet of stopping-service trains built during the 1960s and 1970s, recognisable by their rounded projecting noses. Four-car Plan T and two-car Plan V sets could be coupled automatically to match passenger demand. Passenger-operated doors with central locking modernised boarding arrangements, while yellow later became the familiar livery; regular operation with NS ended in 2016.
