名鉄6650系は1986年に3900系から改造されました。6600系に似た車体ですが、前面のバンパーがなく、当初から冷房を備えている点が異なります。日本の大手鉄道で最後の吊掛駆動の近郊形電車でした。
Meitetsu Series 6650 was rebuilt from Series 3900 in 1986. It has a similar body to Series 6600, except without a front bumper and with air conditioning from the start. The series was the last nose-suspension suburban train type on a major Japanese railway.
