Series N1000 has appeared in 2008. The body is separately built with small blocks, so the joint can be seen near doors. While series 5000 and 5050 use rubber sealed tires, series N1000 use normal tire. They are going to replace series 5000 in Higashiyama Line.N1000 系は2008年に登場しました。日本車輌のブロック鋼体を採用し、フラットで直線的な外板を持ちます。制御装置は IGBT インバータで、台車はボルスタレス式です。従来の東山線の車両の特徴だった、弾性車輪は使用していません。正面デザインは、黄色のブロック上のアクセントが特徴的です。今後も増備される計画です。
