Series 5700 has built in 1986, as express stocks successing Panorama Cars. It has a wide windsield for good view from the cabin. While series 5700 were newly built, series 5300 were refurblished from series 5000 and 5200. Now they serve in branch lines. Series 5300 are going to be withdrwan soon.5700系はパノラマカーに代わる急行形車両として1986年に製造されました。助手席側の窓が目いっぱい大きい、斬新な設計です。5700系は新製車でMT編成を組み、5300系は5000系・5200系の機器を流用したためオールM゛てす。かつては高速・特急で活躍しましたが、現在は急行以下の運用がメインで、廃車も始まる予定です。
